PCSO CONDUCTS SCHOOL ZONE ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office conducted a school enforcement detail at ten different schools in San Tan Valley Wednesday morning.

Deputies from our traffic unit targeted speeders at Walker Butte Elementary, Copper Basin K-8, Poston Butte High School, Combs High School, Simonton Elementary, Ranch Elementary, Legacy School at Ironwood Crossing, San Tan Heights Elementary, Ellsworth Elementary and J.O. Combs Middle School. The effort was conducted in conjunction with the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

“We use these details as an opportunity to strictly enforce the speed limit in school zones and remind drivers the importance of keeping our children safe,” said Sheriff Mark Lamb. “This effort could not be done without the help of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.”

Deputies made 45 stops and gave out 55 tickets. The fastest speed was 45 in a 15.
